There's so much to see and do in Goldendale!



We host a beautiful public 9-hole golf course, the Presby Mansion historical museum, the Goldendale Observatory and many events throughout the summer. Within a short drive you can visit Maryhill Museum, Stonehenge, Maryhill Winery, and numerous other wineries throughout the area.


Goldendale is the Klickitat County seat, and this beautiful area hosts a variety of activities like, Hunting, Fishing, Hiking, Biking, Camping, Horseback Riding, Golfing, Bird Watching, Museum and Cultural Activities, Wine Tasting, Native American Traditions, Winter Sports; Skiing/Snow Boarding and Snow Shoeing and Summer Sports; Water Skiing/Wake Boarding, Wind Surfing, and Sailboarding. Goldendale Observatory



One of only 20 certified Dark Sky Parks in the world, the Goldendale Observatory welcomes visitors throughout the year for stargazing and solar gazing.



Maryhill Winery



Just a short 15 minutes away, Maryhill Winery was voted Winery of the Year in 2014 by the San Francisco International Wine Competition.



Maryhill Museum



In 1940, Time magazine called it “the world’s most isolated art museum.”

Today, Maryhill Museum of Art remains a robust cultural institution with an outstanding art collection, vibrant educational programming and an abundance of charm.

Brooks Memorial State Park



Over 9 miles of hiking trails lead along the Little Klickitat River and up through the Ponderosa and Oregon Pine forests. At the top are open mountain meadows with a panoramic view of Mount Hood.



St. John's Monastery



The monastery supports itself solely by the handiwork of the sisters and donations. They practice the traditional arts of the Greek Orthodox church including: writing Byzantine icons, knotting prayer ropes, making incense, and dipping beeswax candles. They also mount icon prints and make natural soap and lotion and bake traditional Greek food and pastries for their bakery and gift shop.



Stonehenge



Comissioned by businessman, Sam Hill, Maryhill's Stonehenge is the first memorial built to honor servicemen killed in World War I.



Presby Museum



Right in downtown Goldendale, the Presby Mansion is the home of both the Presby Museum and the Klickitat County Historical Society.

Maryhill State Park is a 99-acre camping park with 4,700-feet of waterfront on the Columbia River in Klickitat County. The area is significant for its natural beauty, its access to the surrounding natural wonders, and its cultural history
